    Vietnam Era US Air Force Retirement Documents - President Nixon Certificate to Career PilotThis lot includes all the retirement related certificates a career officer and his spouse would have received after 30 years of service: a certificate from the President (facsimile signature), the servicemember's certificate, and the spouse's certificate in an official US Air Force folder. The latter two certificates are signed by then-Brigadier General James R. Allen (later 4-Star) and General John Dale Ryan (1915-1983), the 7th Air Force Chief of Staff).Colonel L.L. "BJ" Bjorgen (1925-1995) began his career as a P-51 pilot in 1943, served in Strategic Air Command (SAC), and later commanded the unit which flew VIP support in Washington, DC during the Nixon administration.
